I'm M. Gabriella. I believe in creating resources to solve problems.

I use several tools in my projects: HTML & CSS to build and design a website, JavaScript to make the site functional, mySQL to create a database, PHP so the site can communicate with the web server, STATA & R to analyze data, React, Node.js, Gatsby.js, Wordpress as templates to guide me. I also use Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Draw, Adobe XD, Sketch, and InVision to make graphics and prototypes. I remember how frustrating it was to learn how to code, and I’m always willing to take the time to explain how coding works.

I have degrees from UC Davis and Columbia University, and received training in web development from AcademyPGH. I seek out snorkeling spots, ice cream, Monterey cypress, and fireflies. I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and previously lived in Northern California, and New York City. Before moving to Pittsburgh, I taught at the local community college, did health research, and policy/law work. I advocate for Deaf issues and talk about my experience at the UC Davis's Centennial Convocation. I document my life in MG's Writings. I’m up for new challenges and creative projects.
